My name is Mark Havas. I am committed to providing you with the most enjoyable experience around your technology.  

Technology can be such a bore. Don't wrestle with it. Focus on what you are passionate about. Leave the rest to me to make it work for you.

I am platform agnostic and support Windows and Mac, iPhone and Android, Google or Office 365, Skype or Google Meet... All with the same enthusiasm. It isn't the type of technology that matters, it's about you being able to get the job done!

Automation

If you do it twice, why not automate it?


Google Accounts were created manually by hand, which created the opportunity for mistakes and inconsistencies across accounts.

Introduced my team to GAM which allowed command line access to APIs. 

I went from zero programming knowledege and taught myself bash scripting in order to automate many tedious processes.  Building deploy scripts for the entire team to use what I wrote, adding TXT file reference for non-techies to add additional data to a field e.g. add an address to the script by opening a single file in notepad. Thus requiring no coding knowledege.

Front of house staff often called on the IT team to troubleshoot issues in the conference and training rooms.  Waiting for IT meant unnecessary delays.

This is just one of the documents that I produced to empower front of house and managers to get their meetings running more smoothly and without delay!

Working with an external vendor

to troubleshoot and resolve a tricky issue

We had issues that would cause training rooms to become unresponsive and unreliable.  By the time the vendor arrived, the system had been powercycled and was working as expected.

This is a troubleshooting video that I shared with the vendor that demonstrated the issues when they were problematic.

The vendor was impressed and the issues were resolved!
